My Career

I started my career in the financial services business, with Merrill Lynch.
I was a Regional Manager, then an International Manager, based in New York.
I did M&A, deal structure, ultra-high net worth financial management, and pension-style investing.
I understand what drives shareholder value.
After 9/11, I went overseas on a U.S. State Dep’t contract, and served in Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, spending two years in Baghdad during the height of the war.
I learned a lot about governance, how decisions are made, negotiations, and countless other topics we can discuss.
In Canada, my practice focuses on the intersection between national security files, technology, science, and helping decision-makers define the path forward.
I am mission focused. Once the mission is defined, I assemble the right team to implement it, and then we act accordingly, drawing upon the best intelligence available.
